Holistic Management

In October 2021, we completed the Holistic Management Comprehensive course hosted by 3LM: Land & Livestock Management for Life. This course has given us a fantastic foundation on which to build our future farm decision-making and management.

We were keen to put into practice what we’d learned as soon as we’d finished the course, so we spent some time working on our Holistic Contexts (both individually and as business partners), and we developed a financial plan using the tools from the course.

Find out more about our journey so far in our blog post, ‘Where did it all start?

Our vision

Our long-term plan is to restore the key ecosystem processes (water cycle, mineral cycle, energy flow and community dynamics) and create a thriving landscape that works financially, socially and environmentally.

We are also interested in landscape design and have created a map of the farm in Google My Maps using the Scale of Permanence by P.A. Yeomans.

Ultimately, the only wealth that can sustain any community, economy or nation is derived from the photosynthetic process – green plants growing on regenerating soil.
